Job Summary

Centric Software is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst in France to play a critical role in our Finance Operations team. This position requires a highly detail-oriented and organized professional with a proactive mindset and a passion for optimizing billing operations.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. You’ll interpret customer contracts, manage billing schedules, ensure accuracy in invoice preparation, and collaborate across teams to enhance processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience with NetSuite, and an accounting background. The ability to interpret custom contracts, communicate effectively (especially in writing), and address customer and business partner inquiries through a ticketing system is essential

This role reports to the Billing Operations Manager and offers the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements while contributing to a dynamic, collaborative team.
 

Key Responsibilities

Billing and Invoicing Operations:

  • Interpret customer contracts for order entry, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
  • Develop and manage custom billing schedules for SaaS subscriptions, professional services, and billable expenses.
  • Prepare and review detailed invoice uploads in NetSuite, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile billing data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized documentation

Customer and Partner Support:
  • Respond to customer inquiries, invoice disputes, and account statements via a ticketing system (e.g., Jira).
  • Investigate and resolve billing-related issues promptly and accurately, collaborating with internal teams as needed.

Process Improvement and Automation:
  • Identify inefficiencies in billing workflows and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and updates.

Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting, and other internal departments to align billing practices with organizational objectives.
  • Liaise with international accounting teams to ensure timely invoice delivery and VAT compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, or revenue operations.


Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF).
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) and Salesforce (SFDC) is highly desirable.


Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, particularly when interpreting contracts and addressing inquiries.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with billing for professional services and subscription-based SaaS models.
  • Knowledge of basic revenue recognition and accounting principles.
  • Exposure to international billing and accounting operations is a plus.
  • Spoken languages: English and French
