Senior Engineer, Innovation Programs Group

Overview:

We are looking for two Senior Engineers to join our Innovation Programs Group at Centric Software. This team is responsible for identifying and addressing gaps in our product line to drive innovation and sales. Ideal candidates are problem solvers with a knack for following priorities and developing scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Development: Design and develop scalable backend solutions using Python, Node.js, Java, Django, FastAPI, NestJs, and Spring Boot, and create intuitive UIs with React, Tailwind, StoryBook, MobX, and Axios.

• Prototyping: Work with Generative AI to build and iterate rapid prototypes.

• Product Development: Transition prototypes to production and scale to the first customers, refining configurations as needed.

• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product features.

• Innovation: Explore and integrate new technologies to enhance product capabilities.

• Code Quality: Ensure high standards of code quality through reviews and testing.

• Documentation: Produce detailed documentation and technical specifications.

• Deployment: Use Docker, AWS, and Azure for deploying solutions.

• UX Design: Create presentable UI from scratch for early-stage prototypes.

• Data Generation: Generate synthetic data for prototype demos.

Generative AI Expertise:

• Prototype Delivery: Utilize generative AI tools to expedite the development and delivery of prototypes, ensuring rapid iteration and feedback cycles.

• High-Quality Code: Apply generative AI techniques to produce high-quality code, enhancing efficiency and maintainability.

• Test Data and Documentation: Generate comprehensive test data and documentation using AI, streamlining the development and testing processes.

• Innovation in New Domains: Leverage generative AI to explore and innovate in new technological domains, expanding the capabilities and reach of our product offerings.

Technical Stack:

1. Backend Development: Python, Django, FastAPI, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, ORMs.

2. Frontend Development: React, Tailwind, StoryBook, MobX, Axios.

3. Deployment: Docker, AWS, Azure for deploying solutions.

4. Data Science: Understanding of RAG, vector embeddings, and vector databases is a plus.

5. AI/ML: Exposure to Stable Diffusion, LLMs, and LLM agents is an added plus.

6. UX Design: Ability to design presentable UI from scratch without a UX designer for early-stage prototypes.

7. Data Set Generation: Ability to generate good synthetic data for impressive and meaningful prototype demos, going hand in hand with UX design ability.

8. Presentation Skills: Must be good at presentation and storytelling.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software development.

• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java, and modern programming languages.

• Experience with AI/ML mechanisms and event-driven architectures.

• Strong presentation and storytelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-native development.

• Familiarity with AI/ML, RAG, vector embeddings, and vector databases.

• Exposure to Stable Diffusion, LLMs, and LLM agents.

• Ability to design presentable UI from scratch for early-stage prototypes.

• Skill in generating synthetic data for impressive and meaningful prototype demos.
