Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Generative AI Research Scientist to join our cutting-edge team. This role is designed for someone with a passion for exploring and developing advanced AI solutions. As a key member of our research team, you will focus on analyzing state-of-the-art research papers, exploring new methodologies, prototyping, and implementation of cutting-edge Generative AI models, and implementing innovative approaches, particularly in the domains of generative models, diffusion techniques, and virtual try-on (VTON) workflows. By enabling innovative connections between product concepts, production workflows, and consumer-facing experiences, your work will accelerate time to market, reduce operational costs, and enhance our customers’ agility in creating personalized products and drive the development of next-generation AI solutions that will shape the future of our products and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct exploratory research to evaluate and replicate state-of-the-art Generative AI techniques, focusing on diffusion models, LoRA, and other advanced methodologies.
  • Develop and optimize novel models for fashion-specific applications, such as VTON, sketch-to-image generation, and material fidelity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research outcomes with product goals and ensure real-world applicability.
  • Design and train models using large-scale datasets, creating scalable solutions for deployment.
  • Work closely with academic institutions and research labs to integrate cutting-edge insights into applied AI development.
  • Publish research findings and contribute to advancing Centric’s reputation in the AI domain.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, product managers, and designers, to integrate your research into practical, deployable solutions that add value to the company’s product offerings.
  • Contribute to the scientific community by publishing research in top-tier conferences and journals and share findings with internal teams to foster knowledge transfer and innovation.
  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concept models to test the feasibility of new ideas and evaluate their performance against industry benchmarks and real-world scenarios.
  • Continuously optimize generative models and workflows to achieve faster processing times, higher output quality, and improved user experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Generative AI, including diffusion models, LoRA, and advanced training methodologies.
  • Proven ability to translate research concepts into practical prototypes and solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills to guide complex projects from ideation to implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with research, implementation, and scaling of AI models for practical applications, particularly in areas such as computer vision, VTON, or similar domains.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in AI research and the ability to analyze, critique, and apply research papers in practical settings.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with other programming languages commonly used in AI research.
  • Strong understanding of neural network architectures, optimization techniques, and model evaluation strategies.
  • Proven track record of research, with publications in top-tier conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 158,000 - $250,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Candidates who exceed the specified experience and relevant education or training may be considered for compensation above the stated range. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect base salary, and certain positions may be offered additional variable incentives.

The bulk of the work here will be more on the infrastructure, pipelines, etc - handling events from our PLM, kicking off a pipeline on the cloud, processing data and creating outputs (Fine-tunes, LoRAs, etc) and then web development to produce a quality UI to showcase and sell. Can you describe your experience doing this?*
