Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Senior International Accountant to join our global accounting team. This role is focused on core general ledger (GL) accounting functions and international entity management. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in operational accounting, a proactive mindset, and the potential to grow into broader responsibilities within the organization. A key responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and internal corporate accounting policies.
 


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close activities for international entities (including Brazil, Canada, and Mexico), including journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, amortizations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Perform cash reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely booking of journal entries in accordance with internal policies and controls.
  • Ensure all financial activities are compliant with local GAAP, IFRS, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and local accounting firms to support statutory audits and tax filings, including reconciliation between statutory and IFRS reporting.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for local finance matters and ensure compliance with international regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through automation and standardization of accounting workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive, hands-on GL accounting experience, including cash reconciliation, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting international operations; prior experience managing entities in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP, with a commitment to compliance with local accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or other large-scale ERP systems; experience with Coupa and advanced Excel skills are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, take on increasing responsibilities, and grow within the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $150,000 plus variable.   Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.  The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.  Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary and certain positions may be offered with additional variable incentives.
