Vice President, PXM Technology & Architecture
Location: Europe (Germany preferred)

The Opportunity:

This is a pivotal, post-acquisition leadership opportunity for a seasoned executive to take the helm of the technology, architecture, and operations for our PXM business unit.
Your primary mission is to be the senior technical authority for the PXM platform, leading a large global team of approximately 80 product professionals while rebuilding trust and forging a unified culture.
The CEO and the executive team will empower you to provide the stability, clarity, and vision needed to build the undisputed market-leading PXM platform. This is a role for a leader who understands that world-class architecture and a healthy, collaborative culture are two sides of the same coin.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Vision & Architecture: Own the end-to-end technical vision, strategy, and architecture for our cloud-native PXM platform, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and innovative. You will guide the evolution from a traditional PIM to a full-fledged Product Experience Management (PXM) framework, incorporating capabilities like AI-assisted content generation and Digital Shelf Analytics (DSA).

  • Team Leadership & Cultural Integration: Lead, mentor, and inspire a global team of approximately 80 product and engineering professionals. Act as a primary cultural bridge-builder, fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and psychological safety.

  • Financial & Operational Excellence: Own and manage the PXM infrastructure budget, with a relentless focus on cost planning, optimization, and tracking.

  • Executive Gravitas & Communication: Serve as the senior technical voice for PXM on the world stage, representing our product and vision with gravitas at industry events, with key customers, and in executive-level discussions.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You are a Technologist & Visionary: You have deep, hands-on experience in cloud architecture and have led the technical strategy for a significant enterprise SaaS platform. You are not just an operator; you are a product visionary who can see the future of the market and understand the shift from PIM to PXM.

  • You are an Operator & Financial Steward: You have a proven track record of managing multi-million dollar infrastructure budgets. You understand the art and science of cost optimization in a cloud environment and can instill a culture of financial discipline in your team.

  • You are a Diplomat & a Stabilizer: You have exceptional emotional intelligence and a low ego. You have the gravitas to build credibility with a highly talented team, and you lead with a steady hand during times of uncertainty.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise software, with at least 7 years in a senior product and/or engineering leadership role.
Detailed Technical Qualifications:
  • Cloud Architecture & Strategy:
    • Expert-level knowledge of designing, building, and operating large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms on at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Deep experience with modern architectural patterns, including microservices, serverless computing (e.g., Lambda, Functions), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Proven ability to lead a technology organization through a cloud transformation, including re-architecting monolithic applications into cloud-native services.
  • PIM/PXM Domain Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of the core components of a PIM/PXM system, including data modeling, hierarchy management, workflow automation, and digital asset management (DAM).
    • Familiarity with the broader PXM ecosystem, including product data syndication (PDS), digital shelf analytics (DSA), and AI-assisted content generation.
    • Experience with the technical challenges of supplier data onboarding and multi-channel publishing.
  • DevOps & Operational Excellence:
    • A strong "you build it, you run it" philosophy, with a proven track record of implementing and scaling a modern DevOps culture.
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and automated testing frameworks.
    • Deep knowledge of modern observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus) and the ability to use them to drive cost optimization and performance improvements.
  • Data & AI Integration:
    • Experience with modern data pipeline technologies and the architecture of data lakes and data warehouses.
    • Familiarity with the practical application of GenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks like content generation and data classification within an enterprise software context.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • A "security-first" mindset, with experience building and operating platforms that meet enterprise-grade security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
